For me, writing is the way of thinking, making sense of and organizing what I know, as well as a creative practice I enjoy to do. While recently, my focus has been on academic writing, I like writing different kinds of texts. Recently, I co-edited Repository, a book about methods to unearth, understand, and construct urban narratives. In 2020, I co-founded the collective feminist blog Interrogativa, where we invited diverse women from all over the world to engage with a question related to women and their relationship to urban space. I contributed to several posts in this blog.

I have organized my publications as peer-reviewed scientific publications, non-refereed scientific publications, publications for professional communities, and publications for general public. Even though peer-reviewed publications are intended for academic communities, I always aim to write in way that engages communities outside disciplinary boundaries and I encourage and practice creative writing in academic publications. In my view, this is an intrinsic feminist and decolonial move that challenges Eurocentric, androcentric, disassociated, and anonymous forms of writing about the outcomes of our research and a way to democratize knowledge.
